Cheap Cullen Gillaspia Jersey

Catching passes, throwing blocks and covering kicks, Texans rookie fullback Cullen Gillaspia is building a reputation with his versatility and work ethic.

The seventh-round draft pick from Texas A&M and Katy Taylor graduate is off to a good start with the Texans.

Gillaspia is the first 12th Man in school history to be drafted by an NFL team.

JOHN McCLAIN AT TEXAS SPORTS NATION: What Cullen Gillaspia brings to the Texans

Gillaspia has made a strong impression on Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson.

“Gilly, he’s a guy who works hard, doesn’t say too much,” Watson said of the former all-district selection. “He goes to work and he loves the game of football. He loves Houston. He actually can run and catch and do the things we want him to do.
“He’s a hard-nosed football player. We’re glad to have him on the team. He’ll continue to get some downhill runs and lead for Lamar (Miller), D’Onta (Foreman) and Josh (Ferguson).”

Cheap Max Scharping Jersey

Max Scharping is adjusting to the NFL.

The offensive lineman, picked in the second round of last month’s NFL draft, is like the rest of the Texans rookies in the eyes of head coach Bill O’Brien.

“They’ve got a long way to go,” O’Brien said. “I think they’re working hard. I think it’s a group of good guys but I would say they’ve got a long way to go, the whole group.”

Scharping said all the right things in a Wednesday meeting with the media, reiterating multiple times the importance of being a great teammate, doing his best, and improving on a daily basis.
A left tackle for the bulk of his college career at Northern Illinois, Scharping has practiced at various spots across the line so far with the Texans. O’Brien and the offensive staff are working to find the right mix up front, and the rookie explained the difference in his eyes from playing guard versus tackle.

“Everything just kind of happens quicker inside,” Scharping said. “You don’t have as much space as you do at tackle. Everything just happens a little bit faster.”

Scharping was the third pick of the Texans this year, as fellow offensive lineman Tytus Howard was taken 23rd overall in the first round, and cornerback Lonnie Johnson went a pick ahead of Scharping in the second round at 54th overall.
Having Howard as a resource has been a comforting element to Scharping’s move from college to the pros.

“It’s definitely pretty helpful to have someone like that with you,” Scharping said. “You can bounce ideas off each other. We were playing next to each other today, so we were helping each other out with communication and stuff like that.”

Scharping, Howard and the Texans continue with OTAs next week at the Houston Methodist Training Center.

Cheap Custom Jersey

The Houston Texans still need to fill roles within the roster, and free agency is the way to add players who are needed for the team to have the proper depth to their roster.
Looking at the current depth chart of the Houston Texans, there is more left to the imagination than what should be, because there are free agents still looking for a team who could really help out the franchise on both offense and defense.

Sure, the Texans are the reigning AFC South champions and they hosted a playoff game, but when it mattered the most the Texans looked their worst as their last game played was a wild card playoff loss to the Indianapolis Colts, a team they have to also play twice during the regular season.

Houston has talented players on their roster, there is no doubt about that, but looking back to last season, where the Texans were hampered was on the depth of their roster as they suffered multiple injuries and their overall depth showed as the franchise had to make a trade at the deadline and give up a fourth-round pick in the process.

If the Texans want to add to their depth following the completion of the draft and as they wait for the offseason camps to begin, the best way for the team to improve is by signing players who are free agents.

Some of the following players can be game changers for the Texans, while others will fill in certain roles that might not stand out, but still be productive.
